Everyone deserves to be at peace with themselves.
No matter what we face in life, if we are certain of our intrinsic value and worth as human beings, we tend to feel better and have better outcomes then if we carry negative beliefs about ourselves.
Emotional wounds and negative life events can disrupt our ability to process emotional experiences and regulate our nervous systems. These impacts can be temporary or long lasting.
Fortunately, within all of us exists a blueprint for healthy emotional functioning and nervous system regulation. The process of healing involves building or repairing our connection with these inner processes and a supportive therapeutic relationship can help.

Hello, I'm Amy!
Amy McKay, B.Sc.(Eng), M.Eng., B.Ed., MACP, RP
I am a former professional engineer in the province of British Columbia and I worked for over a decade as a learning support teacher at the Ottawa Carleton District School Board.
My approach to therapy is based on understanding humans as social (i.e. relational) beings. Our development is strongly influenced by our early caregivers and we continue to be affected by the people we form attachments with throughout our lives.
Navigating life's challenges can feel overwhelming but you don't have to walk it alone. I am here to provide a supportive, understanding space where your feelings are heard and validated.
